I have a Sky Q box that suffered a HDD error. I reset the HDD losing all my recordings and it worked for an hour or so. It then came up with the HDD error again. I could not fix this and just started the box to watch live programs. I then found thet the Sky Q Mini would not work. It came up with a "No Signal" error. I tried everything but have found that it is the HDD error that causdes this to happen. I thought I would post this in case anyone else has this issue and wonders why their Mini box won't work. I have had a replacement Main box and the mini is now happy and working fine.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreThe mini is a slave to the main box - satellite signals are cached on the hard disk before being sent to the mini. (This is why mini's fail when the main box does)

There isn't much info on that so I hope this saves someone some heartache!
