Sky Q - Deco Mesh ethernet

Hi guys,

I appreciate Sky Q has stability issues with other mesh kit but how does it fair with a wired, ethernet connection from one of said nodes? I have two Multiroom Mini's which I would then connect directly to the main Q box via WPS.

Thoughts?

Hi @slipd

Afraid just one mini connected to a mesh node is unlikely to provide reliable connection.

On 3rd party broadband or mesh all boxes need connecting in a similar manner.

Ie All boxes Ethernet connected to mesh nodes in your case.

Re: Sky Q - Deco Mesh ethernet

Thanks @oldfella! I've started my testing out by using a pair of powerline adaptors (wired connection) from my mandatory fibre hub, through to my Sky Q box. The Mini's are connected wirelessly to the main box and so far, so good.

I'm going to try after a week or so how stable the wired connection to my Sky Q box from a Mesh node is. We'll see 😊
