Sky Q Box

My sky q box is very noisy . I've tried the solutions from the help line to no avail do I need a new box ?

Hi @BWR1   What were the solutions from the help line? Have you tried sound dampening pads or mat?

Help line suggested powering down the box , checking the vents for dust and cleaning if has , ensure box has decent air circulation ....... 

yes tried mats and so on . It's just noisy

Give Sky a call for further troubleshooting but it's definitely worth getting your box swapped. When I had Q I had one with a very clicky hard drive that drove me insane. It would whirr and click even when the box was in standby. I got it swapped and the replacement was quieter, not silent but a lot less irritating. 

If they send you a new box for a doorstep swap, make sure you remove your viewing card before swapping. Also make sure you get the correct power supply cable for the replacement box. They are different between the v2 and v3 boxes.
