Hi, I'm interested in how you configured your Sky Q to just use ethernet. I (along with thousands of people in the north getting new Fibrus connections) am trying to solve this problem. The Fibrus connection comes with a mesh of eero routers which don't play nicely with the Sky Q mesh. If I could pair an eero with each Sky box and tell Sky to only use ethernet it would solve my problem. Neither Sky nor Fibrus are terribly keen to help people with this problem.

The only way to do so is to switch off the Sky WiFi entirely on each Q box.
1) Press the ‘Home’ button on the Sky remote control.
2) Scroll down to highlight ‘Settings’ but DO NOT press select.
3) Press ‘001’.
4) Press ‘Select’
Then: Network -
- 2.4Ghz wireless - Off
- 5Ghz wireless - Off

Thanks for that - I'll need an additional eero box to cover my Sky boxes but the eero mesh should be pretty useful for the rest of my internet needs.

I have the same issue.
I do have the 2TB HDR box. Switch says it's connected at 1Gb, however film download speed is still quite slow. The Netflix app says it's connected at 135Mb
I am currently downloading a UHD HDR movie that is 6 GB. Currently 10mins plus in and only half way through downloading

hi @AdamW77
I think SKY's servers limit the download speed - there is really no need for them to provide a speed much faster than Streaming speed. You can start to watch a download as soon as sufficient is downloaded & the rest will download whilst you are watching.

As @nigea99 indicates, download speed is intended to facilitate viewing at the chosen definition without interruption, not to slurp whole movies to disk as fast as possible.
