Signal Issues

Hi,

I have been suffering with satellite issues for the past week or do but appears mainly to be affecting Sky Sports 1?

It may be coincidental as I largely only watch sky sports but the issue was also suffered when watching Channel 4 in the week.

It could do a faulty HDMI cable?

I've attempted resetting the Q box on multiple occasions and checked all the cables are in place securely.

I have Sky Protect...is it worth going down this route to perhaps replace the cable in the first instance?

Hi @Mansell156

Are you sure it's not due to the current Storms over the UK.

Heavy cloud etc will affect the weekest satellite signals.

If your issue in in clear Sky.

Work through the following link and if you cannot solve your issue it will lead to booking a Engineer.

Re: Signal Issues

Hi @oldfella, thanks for your reply.

I've contacted my management company to understand where my dish is located (I'm pretty sure it's in the void/loft space at the top of my block).

However, is this not something Sky will be just as well placed to determine/advise on in your opinion?

Hi @Mansell156

If you are on a Communal dish in a block then the answer to your queries are in the link I posted.

If it is a Communal dish issue you need to contact your property management company
