Setting up a new mini box since moving house and on a new network. Cannot progress past step 1 of 4.

Setting up a new mini box since moving house. On a new network but using current mini box and tv. Remote works as it changes volume but cannot move past step 1 of 4. Any suggestions?

Hi @Jon+Price+1963 

The remote may work the TV volume but that doesn't necessarily mean that it is correctly paired to the Mini box.

Press and hold 7 & 9 together on the remote until it's led flashes 4 times.

This will set it to infrared mode which will work any Q box.

However it must have line of sight and pointed directly at the mini to operate it.

 

See if you can get past 1 Of 4 with it in infrared mode.

 

If you get the mini working then you can re pair the remote correctly by completly resetting your Bluetooth remote.
Press and hold 7 & 9 together on the remote until it’s led flashes four times.
Then make sure that you are pointing your remote at the Q box and press 1 & 3 together until the remote led flashes and follow onscreen instructions to re- pair.
