Service still out...
We have had no service of any sort since this morning. I understand there was some sort of network outage, but this is beyond that now. We are in a part of Devon where we rely on this because the mobile signal is non existent. I've had to go a couple of miles up the lane in this raging storm just to check the internet and send this message. We need better service now.

Wouldn't that be a bit of a clue as to why there might well be internet failure from cable damage and/or a satellite dish misalignment meaning there's no broadcast reception?
Not sure how you expect either of those to be resolved 'now'. Openreach network repair teams will be out as soon as it's safe for ladder/hoist use, and face a mammoth list of tasks from critical severity downwards, while the waiting time to get a Sky installer for dish realignment might well be considerable following two named storms in four days.
