Series link

Just browsing the TV guide and saw series 4 episode 4 of  The Righteous Gemstones, series 3 is still in my recordings, so why on earth has my so called all singing all dancing sky Q box not recorded Series 4 for me. It's not the first time this has happened, I'm sure they used to record the next series when it started. Why doesn't it do this anymore?

Recording the next series on Q, known as Smart links -  many of us have found it rather hit & miss

 

It is also tied to the box so if you have had a box replacement then this would break any such links

Nope, same box, if it was a new box then series 3 wouldn't still be in my recordings...

Fully aware of that. However that doesn't answer my question regarding series link and why the box doesn't do what it used to..?

Sometimes Smart series links can fail.

It may not be just your box, but a Sky issue.

 

Your best bet to get this checked and resolved by Sky is to send an email to the Sky Viewer relations team to report it;
