Screen going multi coloured

For some reason when i turn my tv on and the sky Q box but then turn my tv of and back on again the sky Q box picture keeps going muli coloured and the only way to sort it is having to keep restarting the box what could be the reason behind this?

Have you got another HDMI lead you could swap to rule out the lead being faulty? Or have you got a spare HDMI port on your tv you could try?
