As a new user with this problem I contacted Sky about this problem and they eventually sent out an engineer to investigate.
he was aware of this problem, and did his check through on the Tv, checked the connections and the satellite dish and , to me, seemed very thorough.
When finished he stated that the problem seems to be that some of boxes installed are subject to this problem. I don't know the box model no. that was installed, only that is was a 1TB box.
He then installed a new box, which was a 2TB capacity, and, touch wood, I have not yet had a recurrence of the problem to date.
Time will tell.
I hope this may throw a liitle light on the issue.
