Satellite dish has flown

My satellite dish has flown in Storm Flor on Monday 4 August and it is now on the ground. I have tried phoning Sky, tried the chatbot, gone around in circles trying all the menu options online.  Can anyone give me a direct link for calling an engineer?

Thanks

@SkyeSky
These are the current methods for contacting Sky…

▪️call by dialling 150 (free) from either a Sky Talk landline or a Sky mobile. Calls to Sky will start automated which may offer you the online help route (see below) or try to send you here to the forum. Stay on the line as long as possible and saying nothing when asked the reason for the call sometimes helps being put in the queue for an agent.

Note: if your services are restricted due to a missed payment phone contact is not likely to work.

▪️online help via this link
https://www.sky.com/help

▪️ Sky Assistant is also available at the top of sky.com/help for most service issues and gives you 24/7 help and a quick response. It will provide you with multiple choice options based on your problem and will provide troubleshooting steps to fix any service issues.

▪️Social Media You can also get in touch with Sky via the messaging services on: Facebook, Instagram, or X (links at the bottom of the forum page).

There is no other way - you will need to persevere.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

It's not possible to contact a satellite installer employed by Sky that way.

You could choose to employ (and pay) a local independent, who realistically may be able to respond rather faster than Sky which is in the process of downsizing its satellite dish workforce prior to the retirement of that technology.

Re: Satellite dish has flown

I tried getting in touch using Facebook Messenger and managed to get an appointment with an engineer.

Surely if you go through the "no satellite signal" troubleshooter you'll end up with an engineer booking if all else fails?

@Chodley

Possibly, but by that method the engineer would turn up expecting a quick(ish) re-alignment, not potentially a new dish, cables reattached etc.

They'll soon be disabused of that notion 😁
