Samsung TV mounted on wall. Sky Q mini box(hidden) in media unit - remote not working

Just put my Samsung TV on wall and had a media unit installed . I've put my Sky Q mini box in unit but the remote will only work if the unit is open. I've tried to reset Bluetooth connection (pressing 7&9 together until remote led flashes 4 times then pressing 1&3 together), but no join. The main Sky Q box is in living room (but it doesnt have a TV connected to it currently) . Any ideas how to control my TV with the mini Q box hidden in media unit?

@Milligano1 do you definately have a bluetooth remote one that has a voice button on it ? as when Q was released mini boxes originally came without bluetooth remotes but the changed that in around 2018 ish

@Laing1 i think you are correct - i've been onto Sky this morning and they are sending new remote (bluetooth compatible)
