SWitch from Q to Stream
Im a existing customer of 26 years ! We have a Q box and 3 small add on boxes.
Fed up with the slow laggy q boxes and now having Fibre im wanting to ditch these Q boxes and have the Pucks - Sky Stream instead.
But cant ! becasue Sky web page says i allready have the best and the only change i can make is to order sky glass, which i do want require or want.
Yes i could phone them up and speak to someone in india who i cant understand for 4 hours.
I just dont have 4 hours spare.
How the hell can i change ? Ive tried all the links in my account page.
I cant even cancel what i have !!

Re: SWitch from Q to Stream
If the only option you're seeing is to subscribe to Sky Glass then I'm afraid you may need to persevere on the phone. Stream is totally different to Sky Q so research it thoroughly before contacting Sky.
These are the current methods for contacting Sky. Depending on your reason for making contact some methods are more appropriate than others …
🔹call Customer Services by dialling 150 (free) from either a Sky mobile or a Sky Talk landline.
All calls will start automated which may offer you the online help route or try to send you here to the forum. Stay on the line as long as possible and saying nothing when asked the reason for the call sometimes helps being put in the queue for an agent.
Note: if your services are restricted due to a missed payment phone contact is unlikely to work.
🔹online help via this link
https://www.sky.com/help
Towards the bottom of the link it MAY provide a phone number if it's appropriate in a section called ‘Need more help’.
🔹 Sky Assistant is now available at the top of sky.com/help for most service issues and gives you 24/7 help and a quick response. It will provide you with multiple choice options based on your problem and will provide troubleshooting steps to fix any service issues.
🔹Social Media You can also get in touch via the messaging services on: Facebook, Instagram, or X (links at the bottom of the forum page).
NOTE: I only provide help on the forum boards and NOT via Direct Messaging

Re: SWitch from Q to Stream
Hi @Brian1970999 Until recently I had always got the "you already have ..." but now I get a full quote to change to Stream. I would try clearing your cache and history and try again. How long have you had Sky Q?

Re: SWitch from Q to Stream
Thank you, ill try that, we have had Q since its release, brilliant when it works, but so unreliable, seems like sky has given up on it.

@Brian1970999 Have you tried the virtual assistant or contact via the Social Media channels ?
You may get the virtual assistant when messaging via Social media but judicious responses should let you get past the 'virtual' side

Re: SWitch from Q to Stream
Virtual assistnat was able to help and provide a price, which is £30 more a month than im currently paying. So paying more for less !
Im just going to cancel, not worth all the agro.

Sky Q is an extremely mature product and should be entirely reliable as far as the main box: Mini box issues are almost always down to local WiFi.
seems like sky has given up on it.
Sky Group was purchased by the Comcast Corporation (historically a cable television company) in 2018, and Glass/Stream is a Comcast product. The satellites currently delivering signal to Sky Q in the UK and RoI reach end of life around the turn of the decade, and the owners appear to have no plans to replace them.
