SKY q box is making annoying hum, and hot

Had sky Q fitted on 5th december, last few days started humming which is getting louder and very irritating. also unit is hot  when in standby  and not recording, just not impressed and the thing will go in the bin at this rate. took a month to be fitted after hd box failed and now this

Hi @jed1970   Don't bin it as it is loaned to you and Sky will charge you a non-return fee. Make sure the box has plenty of ventilation and is not on a surface that amplifies the noise. However it does sound like you may have a duff box, contact Sky and arrange a swap
