SKY Q UHD Compatible

I have a Sony KD 55XF9005 4k tv. it has a display resolution of 3840 x 2160 and refresh rate of 50/60 HZ. I do not know what the frame rateis, .is this sufficient to watch UHD with the UHD SKY Q box?

Yes

all European broadcast TV is at 50Hz. Some streaming apps (and game consoles) use 60Hz which is the US / Japanese standard.

You can get both out of the Q box but nothing else.

The TV isn't broadcasting anything, it's receiving a signal from your Sky Q box. It is absolutely able to receive and show a UHD signal. Connect the Q box to the TV via HDMI and set the video output on the Q box settings to 2160P. Done.

TVs don't broadcast. I think you mean it needs to be able to display 50 frames a second. That's what 50Hz is (well, it means 50 times a second but close enough)  and all TVs sold in the UK can do this because, as above, it's the standard refresh rate for TV in Europe. All HDTVs and 4k TVs can also display at 60Hz and most can do multiples of 24 as well, specifically for smooth film/movie content typically on bluray but also some streaming apps also support 24Hz. Slight tangent - Almost every movie ever made was shot at 24 frames a second. They get sped up slightly to work here at 50 (actually 25 with each frame shown twice) and they do some nasty conversion to display at 60 for our American chums.

Some of the latest TVs will go up to 120Hz as well for high frame rate gaming. But not relevant for TV stuff.
