Running cables to Sky W box

Hi,

Ive got an installation booked for next week but I've read the dish needs to be south facing? Is this right? It would mean attaching the dish to the front of the house which I don't want.

Also, the TV is on an inside wall. How will they run the cables to it. Worried I'm going to have miles of cables everywhere!

Hi @FionaMM1

You are correct to be concerned about the cables.  Normally TV's are on outside walls due to terrestrial aerial connection.   The cables from the dish must certainly come through an outside wall.  Only you know what sort of route this will take to the TV

Dish faces South to Southeast.

You may be able to achieve this by having it on the end corner.  Don't you have other dishes near you where you can see where they face.

Re: Running cables to Sky W box

Have you considered Sky Stream instead?

No dish, no cables to dish and if you have good WiFi no cables to the TV

@FionaMM1 When the engineer turns up, discuss the placement of the dish and where the cables will be run with them and if you are not happy then you are under no obligation to continue with the installation
