Returning Sky Q box

Having read many horror stories on this site regarding members who have returned Sky equipment in the post only to have monetary demands later for "non returned?" equipment I would appreciate some advice. I have just renewed my Sky Q contract and also paid for an upgrade from my current 1TB Sky Q box to a 2TB Sky Q box which an engineer is bringing to install in 2 weeks...I know I must return the old box, will the engineer take it away with him, if so should I get a receipt from him that he has taken it. If he does take it but won't provide a receipt can I type one out and get him to sign something to the effect he has taken it or will I have to post it back to Sky and retain proof of postage? Worried do to so many issues I read with customers having posted equipment back which Sky state they have not received causing unwanted stress..Thank you in advance...

I'm a little surprised that the replacement box will be engineer installed, given that you already have a Sky Q box?

I'd suggest confirming with Sky what you need to do with the old box. I very much doubt the engineer would sign any form of receipt that you've prepared.

Re: Returning Sky Q box

Many thanks for your reply, the customer service person I spoke to when renewing my contract said he could arrange for engineer to install the new 2TB box for free, so accepted the offer...I forgot to ask at the time how I should arrange the return of the 1TB box...
