Returning Equipment

Hoping someone can advise.

I recently moved house and sky were brilliant arranging for mine and my girlfriend's sky packages to be continued and cancelled as required. However, we were asked to return the old sky hub but nothing else, so we now have a Sky Q box that we don't need, but sky have not asked for it back.

Will they actually want it back or can I safely dispose of it? It wouldn't fit in the return box for the hub, I tried!

Kind of the same problem here,got a free upgrade to sky q but the engineer left the old sky + box and controller. Was reading that all equipment is the property of sky and if you dispose of they may charge you,don't want to recycle in case they bill me in 6 month time?

It might be worth asking Sky by calling them about this but whatever you do don't dispose of it yourself as it is owned by Sky so you might need to return it if you no longer need it.

You own the Sky+ box and remote so you can do with them as you see fit as Sky will not want them returned in the same way you would have to with a Sky Q box.

If that's a Sky+HD box there is a market for those on ebay etc
