You aren’t talking to Sky by posting here. If you are new to the forum then welcome to the Community which is made up predominantly of Sky customers helping other Sky customers which includes additional help from customers who are Superusers like myself.

Faulty Sky Q boxes are normally replaced by a courier (usually DPD in the UK) not Royal Mail. You need to disconnect it and have it somewhere near the front door. Remember to remove your viewing card from the faulty boxand we advise on accepting the power cable the courier brings in case it's different to the one you had.

As @Daniel0210 indicates it's worth checking the back panel of the Q box: if it has a circular multi-pin port marked in orange then there's (hopefully) a separate external transformer power supply in a second layer of the packaging.
