Return instruction

I am being sent a replacement Sky Q main box and have been asked to return all cables with the box, however the cables are in the wall, so I cannot get them out. Is this a problem? Will I be charged? Can the courier just keep the new cables? Will my existing cables work???

hi @GJH316

I am guessing you are referring to the HDMI Cable (& possibly  a figure of 8 power cable)

You can just send the ones that come in the box back.

Note if you have a 2TB box check whether the power caable is just the figure of 8 or whether it has a separate power block (with a multipin connector on/to the Q box)  - we often see people getting a replacement box needing  one of these but not realising the power supply block is in the box - so double check.

Also remember to take your viewing card out of your old box before handing over

@GJH316

That depends. We always recommend you accept the power cable the courier brings in case it's a different fitting to the one you have already. Also remember to remove your viewing card from the faulty box,
