Replacement sky q box
Ordered a replacement box as i had a hard drive error message, dpd tried delivering today but im at work every day during the week, dpd then say I cannot get it left with a neighbour or at my door or get it delivered somewhere else or even collect because sky say this, so i ring sky and say and they tell me i have to take a day off work or pay for a new box!! Absolute joke why not just send a replacement with a returns label in the box like any other company would! Now i am stuck with no tv unless i take a day off work and lose a days wages

Re: Replacement sky q box
It's referred to as a doorstep box swap. DPD deliver a new box, you hand the courier the faulty one on your doorstep and you set up the new one. DPD won't leave the box without taking the faulty one.

Re: Replacement sky q box
Hi @Paul198499 It sounds like you need a house sitter for the day (DPD are normally good at giving you a timed window). Usual warning, make sure that you remove your viewing card and have the old box (with all accessories) ready for the DPD driver for the swap. Also make sure the new box comes with all the new accessories.

Re: Replacement sky q box
It shouldn't be all day. I think you are given a 1 hour time slot similar to the delivery of a mobile phone.

Re: Replacement sky q box
It is not possible for me to be at home at all unless i lose a days pay, why cant they just leave the box in my porch like every other delivery i have, then i can sent the faulty one back in the same box

Re: Replacement sky q box
Sky won't allow that and as stated DPD won't just leave it. There is no way round that.
