Replacement Sky Q Box does not work
I have received a replacement Sky Q box within the past couple of days, however it fails to start up properly.
I get a message on the screen as you expect during boot up, then the screen goes blank, the Sky Box led stays red, and the blue Q pulses slowly.
No matter how long I leave it, nothing changes. The remote control does nothing either.
I have no reason to believe the remote itself is faulty; when inserting batteries into the remote the red led on the momentarily lights up, it will aso light up if I press the "?" button.
I cannot order a second replacement box via the web pages as the page that pops up shows the serial number for the previous box, not the new box.
TBH, I'm realising now how little I use Sky TV and I'm considering cancelling my package as a really CBA with faulty hardware.
Does anyone have any suggestions before I cancel?

hi @DrStevil
If you haven't already done so, please may I suggest you reset your remote :
Press & Hold the 7 & 9 until the remote's light (red LED above the SKY logo button) flashes 4 times
Once you have done this try to see if the Q box led changes
If it does but you still don't get a picture, try pressing the following keys in sequence
Home 1 0 8 0 Home (Make sure the remote has line of sight of the box at this stage)
If you can now control the box then:
Then press 1 & 3 together to go through to pair the remote with the box and your TV - again make sure it has line of sight of the box as until it is paired it uses Infrared

Re: Replacement Sky Q Box does not work
Thanks for replying, but that doesn't do anything. Which is not surprising as it is the box that is not starting up properly and that would seem entirely independent of the remote.
