Remote won't connect to Sky Q box

Wondering if anyone can help - my sky q remote suddenly stopped working and subtitles froze on screen. Ordered a new remote but the new remote won't connect at all either. Any advice please? Thanks

Have you tried rebooting your main Q box ie
putting your box into Standby then switching it off at the wall for 30 seconds
switch it back on then follow the on screen instructions@

I've tried rebooting the box - I wondered if there's something wrong with the connectivity? I've managed to connect to the sky go app remote but need a proper remote really 🙂
