Remote problems

I'm trying too pair new remote but unsuccessful. My sky box won't switch on because my re

m doesn't connect

It's a new remote & don't seem too have compartment for batteries. It's 

new remote that came with Sky mini box

It will need batteries to be able to work and the compartment is on the bottom.

I would have to remove the complete back of remote

No, there is a battery compartment. No need to dismantle the remote. Perhaps submit an image of the underneath of the remote so we can see what you're referring to.

This link explains. It's very easy to do and once the image has been moderated/approved you can use the same image again if you wish.

The remote will have a battery compartment, how else would it work.

Sky do not supply sealed remotes, to my knowledge. Tried the link?

Without you sending an image of what you're referring to we can't advise you any further. It won't be a sealed unit.

All of the Sky Q remotes have had a similar battery compartment as the above posted picture shows.

Am wondering, even though you say Sky mini, you do not mean a Sky Puck.

That does have a different full back compartment, that can seem tricky to remove.

The front of the Sky Q remote looks like either of these;

Or is it a Sky Stream remote like this one below;

Yeah I don't think this is a Sky Q mini
