That's something you'll need to negotiate individually with Sky: unlike broadband there's no automatic compensation for subscription television.

Sky Glass 55" (on ethernet) & two Stream Pucks (one ethernet / one WiFi)
BT Halo 3+ Ultrafast FTTP (500Mbs), BT Smart Hub 2

An upgrade to Sky Q (I presume this is booked in for October) is not the reason for loss of service?

If your Sky HD box has failed then I'm not sure Sky will cover this period...   But they may entertain a goodwill credit once you're up and running.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

Fair comment @23agnesbellasim not sure why you call it a loss of  service that  requires in your words a refund as Sky allow you to use Sky Go to watch your tv subscription whilst  waiting for the Sky Q install
