Red light, q box

I have just received a new q box by post to replace the previous unit. This new box seems to work fine but the red light on the front centre is on all the time, which it wasn't on the old box. Is this normal? It is recording OK.

No...  At an opportune moment (when not actually recording) try rebooting the box by powering it down and back up again.

 

Not the end of the world if it remains on, annoying though.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers
