Re: Red Button & sky+ app match choice not working

Unfortunately the game I wanted is to watch isn't on a channel I subscribe to, which is why I'm trying to use the red button or the sky sports + app 😭

do I need the complete the complete sports package for the match multi choice option? I currently only have sky premier league 402 channel... which I would assume covers this

All of today's PL games are on linear channels.

@Hickeym  red button is only available to complete sports subscribers

sky did once open up channels to single channel customers when there were multiple games on but it would seem that they have stopped this practice

you could send an email to viewerr@sky.uk  and ask if they still open up channels or not

I thought they still did. They certainly should.

@oj01  It's not the first time this issue has arisen this season so I can only assume that it's a change implemented since the the removal of new single channel subscriptions

not withstanding that at the start of the season Sky did  announce that the only way to get the full selection of games was to upgrade to compete sports

there is also the point that if sky are saying you need a full subscription to access the red button service then imho it also makes no financial or commercial sense to continue opening up the linear channels

Re: Red Button & sky+ app match choice not working

You should put in a complaint in to Sky  you subscribed to the football channels  you expect your subscription to cover all of the Premier league football matches being shown on Sky sports. It not your problem that Sky have more matches that can be shown on the football channels . You subscribed to premiere football all matches should be available to you. If like today you can not view the match you want to see Sky are not full filing there side of your contract in circamstances like today they should make the extra channels the premier football is being shown available to football subscribers. It not first time this has happened this season and with amount premiere football to be shown it won't problely be the last. So you should put in a complaint and then hopefully Sky should something about because the way things they are in breach of contract to you

@DaveDrizen  It's not a breach of contract when the contract states the service is variable and can change

Hi @DaveDrizen   You have missed off the word channel from your statement.

Re: Red Button & sky+ app match choice not working

It still comes down to sharp practice on Sky account if  I took out a subscription to watch premier league football I expect to see it the premier league league channel. Ok They may be get away of putting a match on the football channel occationly, but I don't expect to start see matches on the tennnis or golf channels like they regularly doing these days. Channels which  these subscribers to premiere football do not have access to and when they took out there subscription would not thought that premiere leave would be shown on channels nothing to do with football. I thought the ideal of the dedicated channel approach is so subscribers like this one could just subscribe to sport of there choice with out having to subscribe to complete set.  I still think a complaint should still be made on  the grounds that you not getting the full service you would expected to get with this channel system when you first took out there subscription.

@DaveDrizen  Sky no longer sells individual sports channels with the except of f1

sky were clear at the start of the season that existing single channel customers would need to upgrade to the complete subscription to receive the full spectrum of football coverage

therefore there are no grounds for complaint as far as I can see
