Recordings

I had a replacement Sky Q box delivered yesterday as the old one was plying up.

is there any way i can retrieve my recordings from my old box?

@Manoj9 Afraid not the recordings were stored on the hard drive if the box that was faulty.


I may be a Sky Superuser but I am still just a Sky customer

Sky Q 2 TB (Silver)Box, 2 Mini boxes since June 2016, all connected by wifi

You can only re-download Sky Store content you bought.

they dont give enough time to downlond the recordings elsewhere as i reported the problem on Friday evening and the new box turned up on saturday and i had to gve the old box to the driver at the same time.

 

My son had bought movies as well that were were stored in the old box

Hi @Manoj9   I am not sure how you expected to download the recording elsewhere, they will be copy protected (HDCP). As already stated, you can recover bought movies (Sky Store) from Purchases in the menu.
