Recordings disappearing

Hi all,

 

I sent a program to record via my phone and when I got home I checked on my Sky Q box that it has been recorded. I turned off the sky box and when I was ready to watch the program in the recordings section, it's disappeared! It's frustrating as this is the 2nd time that this has happened. I checked in the deleted folder and its not there as well. I have enough space on my Sky Q box as well so I don't think that's the issue.

 

Just want to see if anyone else has had this issue and what I can do resolve this.

Hi @Pdesai009 

Have you tried rebooting your Q box.

To reboot press Standby on your Sky Q remote (if the box responds to the remote), and then switch off and unplug at the mains.
Wait at least 30 secs and then Plug back in and switch your Sky Q box back on at the mains.
Wait for the on screen instructions to disappear and the front led to turn Amber. Then wait for 30 secs before you press Home on your Sky Q remote or if this is not working press the standby button on the front of the Q box (Amber led)

note: some features may take up to 5 minutes to return.

Was this a Recording (ie from live TV) or a Download (ie from Catch Up etc)?

I have this exact same issue for mobile prompted recordings of Live TV disappearing. I came home, even started the recording, went back to live TV briefly. Then went to go back to the recording and it had disappeared. No sign in the deleted folder either. Seems a software issue!

No software issue @Georgebanh 

Software issue would affect all boxes not just a few and the Forum would be awash with the problem.

It's either a software or hardware issue and there's nothing wrong with the boxes functionality so must be the former....?
