Recording live tv

Some sports matches are shown live on Sky Sports +. How can I set up pre record on Sky Q box?

Whilst you can Record the Sky Sports+ linear channel as normal, the games 'behind' the channel/on the App are not recordable.

You can't.

Only games shown on the linear Sky Sports+ channel 404 can be recorded. You will be able to watch on demand coverage after the game has finished usually on Sky Sports+.

Try as we might, couldn't access the match on demand later. How do we do this?

Are you using the Sky Sports App under the Apps menu?

Which particular match are you looking for?

As far as I know, it's mainly Highlights that are available On Demand.

I wasn't using the Sky sports app, but the menu on the guide ( left hand menu, Sky channels- Sport- Rugby League). My husband wanted the whole Hull KR v Castleford match. It wasn't even on the highlights. He's particularly disgruntled with the fact that we're paying £35 month for Sky sports but he can't record  some matches at all. I think Sports will be getting the chop when the contract ends.

The Super League issue comes up quite frequently but it's all down to the rights.

Sky's original Super League deal allowed them to show 66 matches per year, and these are all still shown on the normal recordable Sky Sports channels.

The extra matches that are now available on Sky Sports+ are those which previously wouldn't have been shown at all on Sky, but unfortunately they can not be recorded.

I've just been on the Hull KR page in the Sky Sports+ app on Q and the Hull KR v. Castleford highlights are there.

You need to use the app. Although it sounds from the above like the entire match is not on there, just the highlights.
