Really old Q box - multiple problems

Hi, My Q box is probably about 7-8 years old. I get multiple problems_
Its very hot, and occasionally switches off (Vents are clear)
You can hear the disc running (or what sounds like ) all the time, which is louder than it used to be.
Drops to black for a second, every now and again (needs disconnecting from power for a few seconds)
Will not pause live TV occasionally - reboot fixes
Apps have a habit (at lest once a day) of infinite loading screen - reboot needed to continue
Fast forward or backwards fails and you get a loop that takes a while to catch up. (permanent)
tried resetting back to factory (through hidden menu) - used to clear some issues for a bit, but not now.
Sometinmes does not wake up in the morning when asked,  needs discinnecting from power for a few seconds.
Sometimes drops Video, but leaves audio - reboot needed.
Not really been enjoying this for the last 2-3 years, but finally getting rouond to sortimng (or trying to)
Thoughts ?
I tried asking for a new box last time i re-negotiated, but they were not having it...

@James-LED Have you tried https://www.sky.com/help/sky-tv/sky-tv-q/fixing-sky-q/fixing-q-equipment/sky-q-box-wont-turn-on/arti...

It's very important to take your viewing card out of the old box when swapping and to make sure that the replacement has a power supply (if it's a separate block).

Re: Really old Q box - multiple problems

thanks,  no not tried that... they mentioned last time i would have to wait until it actually died, before they would look at fixing it...but that was a while back.. (Sounds like my doctor!)

There are no new Q boxes: the last model was released in November 2019.

If your current one has a mechanical fault they'd typically swap it out with a reconditioned replacement unit of the same date.
