QBox won't connect to Sky Router (latest hub)

Original Sky Q Box + latest new Sky Router.

Box won't connect to the router and says no WiFi connection.

Have followed instructions Settings/Setup - connect to Sky broadband WiFi. Have pressed the WPS button on the router and kept it pressed til it flashes green, however the screen just shows the sky Q box as looking for connection. But it never happens. Have switched everything off/on again. No good. Can't find a reset button on the router. (The home internet has continually dropped since this new/latest router arrived, the previous model was a tad inconsistent but this seems far more unstable and not the improvement Sky said it would be). Anyway, suggestions welcome. Many thanks, T

Hi @TrevGB 

If this is the new Sky max router then you need to connect it to your Q box as if it is a 3rd Party router.

That is use SSID and password for the router 2.4 Ghz band.

We had this problem and a Sky engineer called to see us. He told us to physically unplug the router, rather than switch it off. It worked and the Q box did connect. It has happened a few times since, but so far so good with unplugging it.

• Thank you. I'll bare that in mind. The Sky online instructions differ from those on the telly. The online instructions - press WPS for 3 seconds - worked, following the appearance of a blue light on the new max router. Best wishes.
