Presumably the BBC wants viewing in iPlayer to justify the License Fee spending on that platform.  This isn't something Sky can have any control or influence over: it's literally not their content.

Re: Q - catch up BBC issue

The BBC catch up section was changed this week and is now more of a gateway to iPlayer. However the programmes can still be downloaded to your box by using the Sky Go app on phone/tablet. Go into browse, catch-up, scroll down to BBC, then find programme you want and select Download to box.

Do you want to download because your connection is a bit too slow for live streaming?

@jennykins1963 then as its the BBC that is not allowing Sky to have the content available to download you need to make your complaint to the BBC

Re: Q - catch up BBC issue

Many programs on the iPlayer are probably on there a lot longer than they would have been on the catch up service I know from experience some programmes have many series going back years and they are all still available today on the iplayer

Re: Q - catch up BBC issue

If you use the search button on the sky controller and key in the program then listings  are shown. Just downloaded Ep3 of Father Brown.

Re: Q - catch up BBC issue

WHY has the BBC catchup on SKYQ changed, not everything is easy to find on iplayer and besides it is easier for my wife to use SKY and the skyplanner that troll though the BBC archives of iplayer.

Re: Q - catch up BBC issue

The BBC are really keen to get everyone using the iPlayer app, as you have to sign in and they can gather more data about what you watch. But there are ways around the new system such as using the Sky Go app to trigger downloads of BBC programmes on your box.
