Q box recording and playback problems

I'm having the following difficulties with recording on my Q box;

 

Recordings somtime do not play at all, just get a black screen,

When they do play they often pixilate and the sound goes and you have to stop and restart the recording

The FF and the REW do not work very well

Recordings often jump ahead as if part of the recoding is missing

 

Also the screen is still freezing and box has to be rebooted.

 

I had similar problems with the screen freezing befor and was advissed to do the resets but this has not really done anything and it is getting to the stage where we cannot record anything.

 

The box is just over seven years old and hopefully can get a replacement
