Problems voice sync Sky Sports main event UHD

Been happening on SkySpME UHD (401) for a few days including tonight's Chelsea v West Ham match.

Same here just about OK on 402, seems SKY dosn't really care about this, very poor considering how much we pay for UHD service, does watchdog still exist lol !

So we have the same lip sync issues but with ALL UHD programs but I first noticed it while watching the football on Sunday but also have it after downloading Day of the Jackal in UHD.

We've just gone back to SkyQ after having lots of  issues with Glass for a year so treated ourselves to a nice LG tv. But now we have this new Sky issue. I swear it's never ending.

I rang them on Sunday and they're 'looking into it' and, apparently, I'm getting a call back on the 11th. They have credited our account with the UHD payment for this month though.

Still, very very frustrating.

Ok bit the bullett and an hour on a call with Sky ( Darren- nice guy) .he told me many of the issues are due to updates not coming through properly on both TV & PUCs I have sky glass 65 inch TV set may not work for Sky Q and haven't seen this in action yet as no UHD footy tonight

2. Settings

3. System Management

4. Resets & Updates

5. Restart the device

Your tv will turn off and update, please do this once a week NoReply

For Each PUC 

1) turn in TV not puc

2) keep finger on power button on puc 

3) pull power cable out of puc still keeping power button depressed 

4) wait 30 seconds with button still pressed then put power cable in keep button pressed

5) light on puc with flash first white then after turn orange then alternate orange and red - when flashing orange and red release button

this update the puc then follows the re set up process on your TV screen .

not full proof as updates can be substantial and can fail occasionally if so repeat process .

he advises doing this once a week to stabilise system .

There's different problems that people are reporting here. The one most noticeable is the Sky Sports Main Event UHD channel. That has been out of sync for a couple of weeks now, again.

If you're getting sync problems on all UHD, I would say there's probably a different issue. 

The way that works for me with my Dolby Atmos soundbar (apart from the current Main Event channel) is as follows.

Sky Q box HDMI to Soundbar AV in

Soundbar Arc HDMI to HDMI Arc on TV

Thanks, PG. I spoke to LG and we tried a couple of UHD videos on YouTube and some clips on Netflix and no lip sync issues. I'm a bit stumped tbh.

It's a broadcast problem, it's not your equipment, it's a problem with Main Event UHD. Always has been

Sky seem to have fix the lip sync tonight on 401 sky sports main event uhd. Looks spot on.

Still there on TNT sport UHD today. Must be an issue with how they broadcast HDR.

Just put it on to check mate and you're spot on. This is the first time I've ever seen it on tnt hdr.

Sky Q is getting worse while the prices go up. Disgusting service.

Similar issues on stream as well but I agree @st3velj prices go up yet constant problems. We should be getting refunds, not price increases, for a product that is not efficient

Just sat through the full F1 75 show UHD broadcast on channel 406 - the entire program was out of sync quite considerably.

Impossible to make adjustment to bring the sound in touch with the pictures, the broadcast was that far out!!

the moment that the program finished and dropped back to normal HD, the sync issues disappeared.
