Power cable

Just had replacement sky q box delivered, but there was no power cable supplied and the power cable that I have is different to the one needed for the new box

Hi @Anniex5 

If the box you had had replaced is a 2TB there are two versions of power supply. One has a standard C7 (figure of eight) power lead socket in the back of the Q box. The other has a separate power supply. Although this still has the C7 power lead into the power supply there is a multi pin Din power socket in the Q box for connecting the power supply.  
Which part are you missing.?

Am missing the multi pin Din cable, I have the figure of 8 but it isn't the correct power cable for the box I have been sent

Hi @Anniex5 

Afraid In hindsight you needed to check  that the replacement box had the power supply and din cable included if the Q box had the orange coded multi pin din socket in the back of the Q box. 
All you can do now is speak to Sky.

Thank you, have spoken to Sky and they are sending me a replacement power cable but feel it will be the same as I have and not the one I need.
