Possible scam?

I was trying to register for the free Discovery+ package and scanned the QR code provided. It asked for my card details and said I'd be charged if I didn't cancel within 5 days. Have I been scammed?

@George+Millican

It's not unknown for dodgy QR apps to redirect a legitimate code to a 'service provider' website which takes card details to set up a (bogus) subscription membership unrelated to the intended destination.

Thanks for the answer. How can this be checked and cancelled?

Hi @George+Millican   If you have put in your card details then your phone QR reader App has scammed you (note nothing to do with the code you scanned). Delete that QR reader App and only use the native phone camera App.

Hi @George+Millican   To be clear this has absolutely nothing to do this the Discovery+ subscription.
