Poor sound quality on LFC v Bournemouth

Anyone else got poor sound quality on commentary. Really quiet compared to crowd. Sky - turn crowd down and commentary up.

Hi @Al2447   Main Event UHD, the commentary started off very quiet, okay now.

Tried rebooting but this did not solve the issue. Picture and sound breaking up on all channels

@Mike631

That sounds more like a dish issue. Any error message on screen?

Re: poor sound quality sky football

I too am finding the mix of sound levels between crowd and the commentary team to be much too biased towards the crowd levels. This has to be something the editors in the outside broadcast control vans can adjust.
I'm watching the first game of the new 2025/26 season, and during half time the presenters and pundit’s levels were perfect, but as soon as it went back to the match commentary the spoken volume noticeably dropped and we’re back to trying to hear the spoken word over the cheering and singing.
They did it perfectly during covid, when crowd noise was ‘added’ to the background of the commentary. I'm all for being able to join in and revel in the reactions of the crowd to what's going on on the pitch, but do we really need to have it so loud it's making the commentators inaudible? Come on Sky, you're the best sports broadcaster out there, but your football coverage is being spoilt for many viewers, and it can't be too much of a problem to fix.

Exactly the same.

Pixelated picture and intermittent sound.

It's better now, but not great. Still unbalanced with crowd.

It was a live game wasn't it on a standard channel?

The sound quality totally spoils the viewing. The sound quality on the cricket channel is perfect, crystal clear. Sky should acknowledge there is a problem and then fix it.

The sound quality for tonight's game was muched improved. Someone must have tweaked the right buttons. Just hope it continues.
