Poor satellite signal on TV

Keep getting poor satellite signal on TV screen & lose the picture/sound. Why?

It is quite likely the dish has been knocked out of alignemnt (possibly via strong winds) or possibly the cables and/or connections deteriorated.

 

Please see the following page that covers a few problems - if you follow the link through and still have problems then you should find a link to book an engineer if you have your own dish

If you have a communal system you may have to contact your building management to deal with the technicians responsible for the system

Yep, my problem was with the satellite dish alignment. Had an engineer out and they sorted it but 6 weeks later same again. Sky try to fob me off to wait 8 days for another engineer but I convinced them, with not too raised a voice, to send one in the next day. I mean, we all spend a lot of money on these services so they are obligated to ensure that we are getting what we pay for.
