@Markybuoy25  If you are watching age restricted content pre watershed then it'll always ask for the pin regardless of your settings

it's an ofcom regulation requirement that Sky must adhere to and cannot be override by sky or the customer

https://www.ofcom.org.uk/consultations-and-statements/category-2/mandatory-daytime-protection#M1014

certain channels like Sky Atlantic and Sky Comedy are taking advantage of a rule change that allows them to broadcast age restricted content pre watershed providing they apply Mandatory daytime protection , that cannot be overridden by the the customer , it seems that Sky have decided to apply this rule to each individual program that the rules apply to rather than the channel, so this means that if you have entered the pin to access the channel and the following program is also age restricted you will be asked to enter the pin again when that program starts even though you are already on the channel

@Markybuoy25

I've moved your post as it's not an Accessibility board issue. Do you have Sky Q?

Re: Pin prob

Thanks everyone, we are both in our mid sixties with no need for a pin to protect us.

We have just started with Sky Go, it asks for a pin for certain programmes, but we cannot find a way to put in a PIN number,been through My Sky and cannot find an option to enter a pin

I think SKY Go may use a differnt PIN  setting (Device PIN)  although I haven't read this in detail, please see this link

The Broadcasting Code doesn't contain exemptions: Mandatory Daytime Protection is by definition not avoidable.  It's the existence of PIN control which permits a far greater range of daytime viewing.

Re: Pin prob

Thanks for all help.

Sky Go keeps asking for a pin, there is no option to find the "device pin" .Yes we have found that going through My Sky, but it's all very confusing, we just keep going round in circles, it just will not let us enter a pin.

Perhaps we may need to contact Sky direct.
