Picture breaking up on Sky Q

Yesterday, a Sky engineer fitted a new dish and cables to my Sky Q but I'm still getting picture breakup when streaming programmes. Any ideas what I do next?

What exactly do you mean by 'streaming'?  (As it's likely these don't come via the dish anyway)

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

@Fossilgrump is this when using the apps on the Q box if so its a known problem

see the link below not sure why the engineer would change the dish and cables as the apps use your internet for access to streaming

Yes. - currently watching on the Netflix app, for example. Dish was rusty and apparently cables had damp in.

The cables between the dish and your Q box are entirely for receiving satellite transmissions, they have no effect on the streaming apps.

There is currently a separate issue affecting all streaming apps on Sky Q which is causing the picture break-up you are experiencing. There is nothing you can do about it for the moment other than use the apps on your smart TV or a dedicated streaming device such as a Firestick.

Re: Picture breaking up on Sky Q

Thanks for that. Engineer changed the dish and cables as he said they were at end of life. I assumed streamed content to be internet driven but wondered if there was an interference from a faulty dish at the box. Guess we'll have to just wait for Sky to fix their apps then!
