Hello all. My parents are getting older and their memory isn't the best these days. The PIN code needed to watch certain crime type documentaries or films is becoming an issue as they often can't remember their PIN or get confused how to enter it. Is there any help from Sky in these situations?

@Daniel0210 not as easy as that I'm afraid, the number is irrelevent if you are suffering from memory loss.

Maybe even print a photo of the TV when it's showing the pin number request, and a photo of the remote with an arrow pointing to the number keys if it's really bad?
As an aside, are they getting medical help as it sounds like they are suffering from dementia?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreHave you got Power of Attorney for them, particularly for whichever one is the Sky account holder?
You could then register the account holder with the Sky Accessibility Team who may be able to help you in the future. Once registered there are also different methods of communication with this team

@Daniel0210ok thanks. I read the PIN couldn't be removed but wasn't sure if there was any situations it could i.e. dementia.
@Chodley yes it is a diagnosed condition

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreOFCOM dictates that PINs cannot be fully disabled. Sky would be in all sorts of trouble if they allowed it.

No: it's Mandatory Daytime Protection.
