Given the recently reported unilateral change that downgraded ad-free Paramount+ to add-filled Paramount Basic for SKY Cinema subscribers, I contacted SKY to raise my concerns. They informed me that despite Paramount using some of their numerous ad slots to encourage customers to contact their platform provider to upgrade, SKY currently does not offer anything other than Paramount Basic. End of conversation......or is it? Anyone know any different?
And...for info only...SKY also said that irrespective of any previous conversations with them at renewal re. Paramount+ being a free add on to SKY Cinema (which many like myself, could consider it worth sticking with SKY / SKY Cinema for) as it's a 'freebie', its outside the express contractual terms and (paraphrasing) there's nothing much I or anyone can do about it. I did briefly mention about the importance of verbal contracts, but frankly lost the will to live along the way.

At this point in time, yes. No 'upgrade' option currently offered. If you want to pay for Paramount+ then you have to sign up with an email address not linked to your Sky account.

If you argue your case you may be able to cancel Cinema without early termination charges but this will be on a case-by-case basis. Contractually, they don't have to.
