Paramount + Sky Subscription Problem

Hi,

 

I'll try and explain this as concisely as possible:

 - I have Sky Cinema and had paramount basic included, I set this up with no issues and used it for a while.

 - I upgraded to the next package up because the adverts were ridiculous, this was an additional £3 per month. This also worked fine.

 - I havent watched Paramount for about a month and when I came to log in via the sky TV app this week, it was in German, when I proceeded to the next page it was in English and asked me to reactivate through the TV.

 - I entered my email address (No QR offered) and it said "Uh-Oh there is a technical issue and we are working hard to fix it"

 - I logged on to my sky account and could see that Paramount was still active on my account in the bills and payments section.

 - I could also add the basic version for £0, but then was given an error page (maybe because of my upgrade to the next level?).

- In the app page of my sky account it then said that payment had failed in June, then was cancelled in July, the whole lot, even basic, my bill went out as usual for everything else. I've updated my payment method for sky marketplace but the subscription still states "renewal in progress"

- Ive spoken to sky and they cant work out what is wrong and have just said maybe its an error they are working on, and i've contacted paramount who were none the wiser either, so I'm currently stuck in limbo with not even the free version.

 

This seems a bit niche, but just wondering if anyone else has had the same problem? Thanks in Advance

The German bit is definitely weird (if this was Netflix I'd suggest that your account had been hacked)

Anyhow my only suggestion for the time being is to logon to Paramount+ via the web (or another app on your TV) and see if that brings any joy.

 

If you can you should see on the account section that the sub is handled by Sky (owtte)

It is very odd isnt it. I've tried to log back in via paramount plus app and website and sky is no longer shown as a partner, only Apple TV and when I do log in to my account it is asking me to activate a subscription.

 

It seems that my subscription is stuck in a renewal process and paramount thinks it has been cancelled.

hi @DrKriegerBot 

 

Even though you pay through SKY , the option to choose is (& always has been) Sign in With Paramount+ & not Sign in With Partner
