Online ordering process for Sky Multiscreen not fit for purpose

As a new subscriber to SkyQ (6/3/23) with UHD, I spotted an offer in MySky to get Multiscreen for £7.50 a month. When I followed the order process, it wanted to charge me £50 even though the first multiscreen box is supposed to be free (confirmed by customer services).  I  would have gone through customer services but this offer is only available online.  I worked out that the wording on screen was ambiguous and I interpreted it was asking for how many ADDITIONAL boxes were required, so I chose "0".   My subscription was adjusted but no order showed in my account. Two days later I rang Sky who said I'd ordered Multiscreen without a box. They agreed this was illogical and should not have happened. I've been on the phone for 50 mins while they looked at options for fixing  it and currently in order to do so they have to order a box, charge me £50 and then reimburse me.  Madness, but if they cancelled the order and started again, I won't get the discount.

Added the the fact that when my TV subscription began, they gave me 2 months free Sky Cinema without warning, and didn't explain up front I'd need to cancel 30 days before end of two months, and that they didn't explain they would change the billing date in my second month, further confusing what I was being billed for, colour me unimpressed. At least they let you see future bills so you have SOME warning, assuming you can interpret them!

Thank goodness for the agent who understood my explanation of what had happened (turns out we're both IT professionals) and that I was prepared to be charged and then refunded.

Just sharing in case anyone else runs across this issue.

@Aranhe

ive seen a few posts on this it should be free the first box.

Also the offer online £7.50 i phoned up and they added it on for £4 per month with my VIP.

Always phone up! it can be wrong online they did the same thing with bt sport it said bt sport was £28 18-month contract but in fact it's £28 for 31 day rolling contract and its £25 for 18-month contract but they charge more online and your stuck in a 18-month.
