My wife is colour blind and has difficulty in distinguishing between the "on" and "off" lights on our Q box. What help is available please

@Bob241
If you are new to the forum, or this is your first post, then welcome to the Community which is predominantly made up of Sky customers helping other Sky customers. You aren’t talking to Sky by posting here.
If you mean the lights on the right hand side red for off / amber for standby / green for on there is no alternative options available.

Many thanks. It is time SKY gave us a solution - we cannot be the only ones to suffer......

I can't remember seeing this issue mentioned before. Sky Q is 10 years old now and I can't see an alternative option being implemented after all this time.

Re: On/off light
I have come to this forum because I can find no way to talk to Sky about the problem. Is there an actual help address or telephone number I can try?

Hi @Bob241 I would register a complaint in writing, the script following advisers wouldn't have a clue. I'm afraid that contact information is blocked in the community. https://www.sky.com/help/your-account/making-a-complaint

As @Daniel0210 noted above, Q was launched in early 2016, last had a hardware revision in late 2019 and has been effectively superceded since October 2021 when Comcast released their Glass/Stream online-only television platform (which doesn't use such indicators) : there's approximately zero chance Sky is going to revisit their unfortunate decade-old choice of LEDs now.

Re: On/off light
You could also try raising the issue with the Sky Accessibility team, but apart from agreeing with you that a poor design decision was made many years ago by what's effectively now a different company, I really don't see what they could do.
