No signal

I need my dish repositioning due to trees but the dish is on my roof and the last time they said you need an independent contractor to reposition it. Is this true?

Re: No signal

@Kev1261 If that's what Sky have already told you then it's likely to be correct.

If Sky carry out the work there would be a charge of £65, providing there was a suitable location for the dish not on a roof. An independent company will have less strict H & S regulations than Sky but remember that if Sky deem the location unsuitable to carry out any maintenance you will have problems further down the line. Get a quote from any independent company first.

Yes as Sky will only  maintain dishes at lower levels due to H&S.

It may be worth either getting the dish reposition at your own cost, get the trees lopped or look at Sky stream as an alternative.

No signal

I messaged earlier about moving my dish. Thought problem was the trees but now it's working fine the only exception is it's cooler today looks like the dish expands in the heat and alters the signal. Only explanation I can see. Anyone else had this issue and how it's overcome if it can be? The dish is probably 20 years old.
