No signal

Tv showing no signal so thought the hdmi cable was gone, replaced it with a new cable but still showing no signal

No signal normally comes from your TV, no satellite signal normally refers to your Sky box. If it's no satellite signal have a look at this link

If that doesn’t help you, at the end of the link it should give you an option to arrange an engineer to check your dish alignment.
