No satellite signal

After storm no satellite signal. Phoned SKY on Monday as soon as power returned they sent an engineer out on Friday, the wrong engineer. Sent a broadband engineer not a tv engineer. Phoned SKY again on Friday explained that as 2 disabled persons lived here relying on SKY to provide entertainment would need an engineer ASAP. Guess what the best they could do was the 6th of March. They have said will credit for loss of service but that is not good enough. I know the storm was not their fault but this sort of after care is a complete and utterly disgrace.

I'm afraid that due to the recent storms there’s likely to be a significant delay in getting an appointment. That will be the earliest appointment in your area. It may be quicker to contact a local satellite company but that would be at your own expense.

Re: No satellite signal

How do we go about getting a refund - broadband for me is fine too but NO SATELLITE SIGNAL has been the message since the middle of last week - two weeks without any Sky television service. I am assuming it will be resolved eventually post-Eowyn.

Unlike Broadband there is no scheme in place for TV credit as it's deemed to be non essential. Once an engineer has been out and it's fixed you could contact Sky and ask but they're under no obligation to offer one.

hi @Orlaflynn

Have you contacted SKY to re-align your dish ?

It is not a problem with the Satellites & unless you have contacted SKY they won't know you have problems

Once resolved, I belive SKY may refund from the time your reported it

Re: No satellite signal

We don't have a dish, it comes in with the broadband line. Which is bizarre as the broadband is working perfectly.

If you have Sky Q and/or you're seeing no satellite signal message you have a dish.

if you don't have a dish, that would explain why you're getting a "no satellite signal" message

I am just another Sky customer!

If you are fed by a communal System then you will need to contact whoever is responsible for that System
