No internet connectivity!
Hi there!
I have been dealing with a connectivity issue for some time and although the Sky Q settings indicate that I am connected to the internet, all relevant internet connectivity settings are correct, I have the message 'it looks like you are not connected to the internet' and apps/recording/and catchup etc are not available.
I have done all the reset router reset Sky Q box, even had a new box delivered but the problem persists!
Any ideas please?
Kind regards.
Andrew

Hi @Elf490
Exactly what happens when you complete the following?
First reset your broadband router.
If on Sky broadband hold the Reset on the back of the router until the power light flashes green (about 10 seconds). Don't unplug or switch off your router while it resets. The power light will go green when it's done.
If on 3rd party broadband and your router does not have a reset button, reboot it by disconnecting the power lead for 30 secs and then reconnecting.
Wait until the router is completely back and running and then try a Network Reset found in Q box Home - Settings - Setup - Network.
Highlight Status and then select Reset on the right hand side. Follow instructions to connect by WiFi to your router. Even if reset is not listed there is still an option to connect by WiFi to Sky or 3rd party router
If you are on Sky Broadband you will be asked to press the WPS button on the Sky router. (Not on the Q box as the Network reset will start the main Q box WPS automatically). Make sure you press the WPS button on the Sky router and not the reset button.
if you are on 3rd party (non Sky ) broadband then you need to enter the SSID and password for the router 2.4 Ghz WiFi band.

Re: No internet connectivity!
Hi @oldfella
I am on a 3rd party supplier for broadband (Vodafone) and if I follow the procedure you highlight everything works as expected. Q box connects to router (wireless) and internet IP address is populated, as expected, and green ticks appear indicating I am connected to router and also to internet.
After then selecting the home menu a message appears saying 'it appears you are not connected to the internet' and therefore I have no access to apps or recording or catch up.
I actually followed the process highlighted in the YouTube video below in the hope that specifying the transmission band and providing a dedicated user login it might help!

Re: No internet connectivity!
Would be good to know if this works as I have a similar problem since changing my broadband to Vodafone. My Sky box will connect when I enter the broadband password but loses the connection almost immediately (and I get the message you mention). I saw somewhere else that it could be a firewall issue and that Sky could tell you how to change the settings but I can't get through to a human at Sky to discuss at the moment!
